Summary: The far window is open and it makes the room smell of earth and rain and new beginnings
She yawns widely and tightens her grip on the woman in her arms as bright sunlight begins to filter through the shoddily crafted windows of the tin cabin.
The far window is open and it makes the room smell of earth and rain and new beginnings. She breathes in deeply before nuzzling her nose into soft, sex mussed curls and pressing a kiss to the back of Juliet’s sweaty neck. She slumbers on, her mouth hanging open an inch or so, barely responding as Claire eases the covers down and begins to trace the silvery white scars marring her naked chest.
They cover her entire body, marks of bravery and defeat and death, and Claire marvels at the contrast of her own unmarked skin as she runs her fingers over Juliet’s thin, scarred waist. She presses her dry, hot lips to a little nick of a scar above Juliet’s eyebrow and smiles softly when she stirs, stretching sleepily but not rousing.
She traces her tongue over a little ring of marks around Juliet’s belly button but pulls away, startled, when a hollow voice murmurs a pleading cry,
“Don’t.”
She looks up and finds Juliet staring down at her, and though her eyes are still blurry with sleep, her mouth is drawn into a disgusted frown. Claire eases a leg over her waist, straddling her, and leans down to press a tender kiss to her swollen pink lips,
“You are beautiful.”
Juliet’s impossibly blue eyes skim Claire’s bare body, acutely aware of the unmarked quality of her pale skin, and she breathes,
“But you, you are perfect.”
Claire’s porcelain cheeks flush a rosy pink and Juliet runs the pad of her thumb across the cold slant of her cheekbone, repeating,
“You are perfect.”
A soft, sensual smile stretches across Claire’s face and she lazily toys with Juliet’s peaked nipples as she corrects, an almost inaudible whisper,
“In Jacob, we are both perfect.”

I couldn't resist throwing the last line in ;) If Juliet is dead then there better be something good waiting for her!
I love your icon, I thought that was an awesome scene!
Thanks! When I found it, I knew it was my Kate/Juliet icon. I loved that scene.
At this point, I'm willing to see Juliet with anyone if it makes her happy (althought Claire would be the icing on the cake). For goodness sakes, I'm surprised she hasn't tried to kill herself yet, she's had such a misserable time!
